BACHMANN 44 TON POWER TRUCK MODIFICATIONS Page 1.
Photo 1, shows the power truck after removal from the Bachmann Frame. Note that the motor is mounted vertically. This causes the truck to "sit high". Our modification motor mounts allow the motor to be turned to lie flat, reducing the height. Remove the four screws from the top of the Power Truck as shown in Photo 1. SAVE these screws! They will be used later. After removal of the screws and the top Motor Mount, your truck will look as in Photo 2.
Per the manufacturers instructions, remove the Power Trucks from the Bachmann 44 Ton Engine Model.
Drill deep enough to create pilot holes in the lower section of the frame as shown in Photos 4 & 5. You will need these holes located properly so the Lower Motor Mounting Plate is correctly aligned.
What you'll need: Small Phillips and Flat Blade Screwdrivers, "Flush Cutters" , Files, 0-80 and 2-56 Taps, Two 0-80 X 3/16" (or shorter) Round Head Screws, Two 2-56 X 3/16" Flat Head Screws (used on Page 2), a #54 Drill.
